Center For A Non Violent Community asks you to stand with us in making the lives of the children, women, and men in our community safer.
The COVID-19 pandemic and its resulting impact forced survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse to stay near those who harm them and disconnected many from their family and friends. Local communities of color were especially impacted as survivors experienced barriers in finding support due to modified working conditions and limited translation capabilities. Despite all of the challenges, we saw beauty in the face of adversity and witnessed a warrior spirit in these brave survivors.
Center For A Non Violent Community also embraced the challenge to adapt our ways of thinking and doing to respond to the needs of the community during this time. We have provided 125 hotel stays at the cost of $7,500 since shelter-in-place and physical distancing orders went into effect in March.
Please help us support the right of all people to live free from violence. Your donations provide emergency and transitional shelter, counseling, and support for children and adult survivors. This is a safe place of hope and healing, where lives are rebuilt and futures are restored. No amount of help is too small.
